Knock Sensor Low Voltage

Knock Sensor Low Voltage. The greater the vibration or shock, the higher the voltage and frequency. I have been getting p0332(low voltage from knock sensor, 2nd bank) cel for the past month or so.

Exhaust gets very loud while accelerating (much louder and obnoxious. Without proper readings from the knock sensor, the pcm cannot accurately alter ignition timing to prevent engine knocking. Can anything other than the sensor cause this?

I checked the voltage coming from the pcm to the ks and i got 3.35 volts, i believe it should be closer to 5 volts, the ks. I really dont hear any ping or knock.

Ive been dealing with a code (i believe its) p3332 or something there about. The filter detects whether there is banging frequency in the sensor output signal and determines whether knocking occurred.

If the pcm or ecm receives a reading from the knock sensor that is too low, the p0332 trouble code is set. A knock sensor is designed to pick up vibrations caused by engine knock and output a signal to the ecm.

I drove hundreds of miles today for a remap and within 5 minutes of getting there i was told cylinders 1 & 2 had excessive knock sensor voltages when revved and mapping wouldnt be worth it until this was rectified for the best results. Ive been dealing with a code (i believe its) p3332 or something there about. As the name suggests they continually resonate with their tuned peaks but this makes them susceptible to other noise sources containing the same excitation frequency.

I bought 2 new sensors and 1 new manifold gasket (manifold gasket is not reusable) so i am currently planning on replacing both sensors and just being done with it. Typically the code will trigger when the knock sensor has an output below.5 volts.

Anyone got knock sensor knowledge? I have since replaced the ks, replaced the wire and i just cleaned the pcm connecting terminals.

If your knock sensor on bank #2 is generating a low output voltage (perhaps under 0.5v), then it will trigger a p0332 dtc. I have been getting p0332(low voltage from knock sensor, 2nd bank) cel for the past month or so.
